Time:10:33 pm.
You Are Jan Brady

Brainy and a little introverted, you tend to think life is a lot worse than it actually is.
And while you may think you're a little goofy looking, most people consider you to be a major babe.

I hate the time change.

Taylor loves having it read to her. Ty had Voltaire's Candide read to him. And Kyle was blessed with Joyce's Ulysses.
Finally, I chose that a book that makes SENSE!

Magic is so easy with little kids. But it only works once. Especially if you're not good at it or hadn't had any training.

I pulled a quarter out of Mini-Schlepp's ear. He was in hysterics for about a minute. =) I think that he wanted me to do it again, so I tried, but he reached for my hand as I was reaching for his ear. It was pretty hard not to get him to see the quarter. I oughta learn magic tricks.

But I make colostrum. That's magic enough. =)

iPod nano.
1,000 songs. Impossibly small.

Steve Jobs wears Levi's Jeans. You know, they have the famous 5th pocket. Well, at the iPod nano presentation, he pulls out the iPod nano... FROM HIS CHANGE POCKET!! Can you believe that that thing is so small that it fits in your change pocket?! omg.
Steve Jobs, marry me in the next life - you know, when we are amino acids, floating in outer space, looking for a planet to land on.

Subject:Our Borders
Time:11:04 am.
Mood: sarcastic, but not really.
Our nation's southern borders should be protected by people who take their job seriously. Or we can build a 500 foot cement wall. Better yet, let's put hippos in the Rio Grande and that 500 foot cement wall on the northern banks.

Because I'm a racist. I don't like brown people.

I solemnly swear that I am up to no good...

We watched Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban last night, starting at 8:30pm because there was nothing on... usually, we watch "LOST" on abc, but the network disappointed us and aired a re-run. Very sad. So anyway, the Dementors came on the screen, and Toddler looked at me. I hugged him. I remembered (after having this similar conversation with altarflame) what it felt like having nightmares as a child, especially ones triggered from movie images. The Dementors don't scare me at my age, but I'm sure that they would frighten Toddler a bit. They came on again... and really, the whole movie is covered in dark images of werewolves, snarling dogs, giants, and executioners... well, only ONE executioner. So anyway, toward the end, when Harry Potter saves himself from the Dementor's kiss (oops, sorry, I didn't mean to give away the ending - but c'mon, it's Harry Potter. That's like letting Luke Skywalker die), he uses the spell "Expecto Patronum!" [A spell to counteract the severe draining effects of Dementors and is usually mastered only by wizards of advanced skill. A "Patronus" is a shield-like concentration of energy that stands between the wizard and the Dementor. It knocks out the dementor and protects the wizard. It is shaped like a stag, the animal James Potter (Harry's late father) could become as an Animagus (shape-shifting animal)]. And I explained to Toddler that this spell is much like our prayer that we use when he's scared, "Back off, all vampires," or the simple "SCRAM!" - we use the latter for Oscar the Grouch, who puts fear in the mind of little Toddler. =)
Are they prayers? Spells? More like orders, imperative statements.

While we're on the subject...

Subject:Feelings....
Time:9:38 am.
Mood: curious.
Sort of a query/poll/survey...whatever...

Do you care about other eljayer's feelings as if they were real people? Do you think that they are real people?? Do you often find yourself "holding your tongue" (or fingertips) to spare the feelings of others on the internet? Is there such thing as "internet etiquette?"

If so, to what extent?

Personally, I do believe that you people are real... but not so real that I'd treat you like people that I actually know, like, in real life. To keep myself safe from wackos and weirdos, I pretend that you guys are just zeros and ones floating in cyberspace... and you are!! Just like I am to you. But don't let that hurt your feelings. You're not really REAL!

;)
